Help — what FAIL means

What does FAIL mean, exactly?

How AttestLayer issues a FAIL determination, what it consumes, and how to respond.

FAIL is a record-only signal

FAIL means the supplied records did not satisfy the selected packet rules for that submission. AttestLayer reports the failing rule(s) and the corresponding artifacts so the customer can decide how to respond.

FAIL does not consume a PASS credit

FAIL consumes 0 credits on offers that use PASS-only credit consumption. Re-submission of corrected records is allowed inside the validity window of the purchased offer.

FAIL is not an audit finding

FAIL is not an audit, attestation, certification, legal opinion, or insurance determination. It does not assert that the customer is non-compliant with any framework or law.

How to respond to FAIL

  • Review the failing rule(s) reported in the workspace.
  • Update or supply the missing record(s) where applicable.
  • Re-submit inside the validity window of the purchased offer.
  • Contact support@attestlayer.com if the reported failure is ambiguous.
